Nine New Startups Join Dallas Accelerator, Expanding Portfolio to 118

(DALLAS,TX) — Health Wildcatters, the Dallas-based seed accelerator, announced today the addition of nine new startups to its nationally ranked program. This latest cohort brings the total number of Health Wildcatters’ portfolio companies to 118. Now in its twelfth year, Health Wildcatters continues to be a cornerstone of the North Texas healthcare and entrepreneurial community, operating out of its headquarters at Pegasus Park.

 This year’s cohort features talent from around the world, including four international founders and a diverse range of startups, with 3 each in Health IT, Medical Devices, and Pharma.

Acute XR (Charlottesville, VA)Acute XR creates fun, immersive and therapeutic video games for children and adolescents suffering from mental health conditions.

ClearSight Therapeutics (Dallas, TX)- ClearSight Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company working on developing treatments for unmet needs in eye care. They are developing OTC medicines, pharmaceuticals, and drug delivery platforms.

Delta Robotics (Lubbock TX)- Delta Robotics is a Texas-based tech startup developing advanced Nitinol artificial muscle technology to revolutionize the robotics and prosthetic spaces. They are a small team dedicated to taking our technology and putting it in the hands of inventors and making products people need.

Keyron (London, England) – Keyron is a UK- and US-based medical device company developing ForePass®, an endoscopically implantable device aimed at reversing type-2 diabetes, NASH, and obesity. Preclinical studies show ForePass® is safe, tolerable, and effective for weight loss and insulin resistance.

MucoLife Therapeutics (Gothenburg, Sweden) – MucoLife Therapeutics is revolutionizing the treatment landscape of Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by developing first in class mucolytic treatments targeting mucus obstruction in the airways.

Rhythmm AI (Tulsa, Oklahoma)- Rhythmm AI is reengineering healthcare administration with their AI-powered prior authorization software that intelligently automates complex paperwork, research, and approvals. By analyzing patient records and medical guidelines against insurance requirements in real-time, we transform prior authorizations from a days-long headache into a near-instant experience.

Sensars (Switzerland) Sensars developed a novel approach of neurostimulation for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy using an intra-neural approach (i.e. injection of microelectrodes inside the nerve). Their primary focus is treating diabetic neuropathy patients by alleviating their pain and restoring the sensation to their feet for prevention of falls, ulcers and amputation.

TeachMeMedical (Clarence, New York) – TeachMeNow addresses critical challenges in the healthcare industry, including high readmission rates, escalating costs, and the pervasive issue of health illiteracy. 

TSP Therapeutics Inc (Indian Rocks Beach, FL)- TSP is a registration stage oncology company founded in 2020 to develop and commercialize histamine signaling therapies for use in combination with immunotherapies to help save the lives of immunotherapy resistant cancer patients by reversing reactive oxygen species-derived immunosuppression and reactivating antitumor immune response.

The new startups delivered their elevator pitches and were formally introduced to the Health Wildcatters ecosystem and DFW ecosystem community on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
